The project exemplifies an adaptive reuse intervention within a pre-existing space, located in the heart of Cluj Napoca. The main challenge was integrating complex medical functions into the existing structure without altering the urban coherence of the facade. The architectural concept, a “capsule of contrasts,” uses chromotherapy as a design tool, generating a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere. The selection of materials, predominantly HPL panels and plaster, contributes to defining an interior that is both hygienic and visually stimulating. The glossy surfaces of the HPL reflect light, amplifying the sense of open space, while the white plaster provides a neutral background, balancing the intense chromatic accents. This chromatic juxtaposition, far from being accidental, creates a comfortable and relaxed ambiance, essential in a medical environment. The intervention is strictly limited to the interior design, respecting the volumetric integrity of the existing building. The result is a functional space where design actively contributes to the well-being of users.
