The project strategically addresses the redefinition of a plot with difficult geometry on Calea Turzii, within an urban context that necessitates the recycling of obsolete built stock. The intervention proposes a sculptural monoblock, designed to become a new pole of interest. By emphasizing height, the building asserts itself as a distinct visual landmark in the amorphous urban fabric, contributing to a contemporary structuring of the streetscape. The facades, articulated through glass and HPL, modulate the perception of the volume and the interaction with the exterior environment.
Glass, through its transparency, maximizes the penetration of natural light, creating bright and contemporary interiors. This calculated relationship between material and light defines a modern, evocative atmosphere, where spaces are perceived as open and adaptable. The interior finishes support a minimalist, functional aesthetic. The project’s rationale transforms the site’s constraints into an opportunity for architectural assertion, marking a contemporary and essential presence in the Cluj urban landscape.
