Rivus Offices

The project precisely addresses the restoration and repurposing of a landmark building in Cluj-Napoca, dating from the mid-20th century. The challenge lay in adapting a historical structure to contemporary functional requirements, transforming it into an efficient administrative building. On the ground floor, a spacious, double-height exhibition area creates a direct visual connection with the urban environment, facilitating interaction. The choice of materials, exposed brick and concrete, emphasizes an industrial aesthetic.
These raw finishes not only pay homage to the memory of the place, a former industrial platform, but also modulate natural light, imparting a distinct atmosphere to the interior. Industrial accents intertwine with contemporary design, resulting in a space with a strong identity. Urban integration is crucial: the building establishes an architectural dialogue with the future Rivus commercial complex, asserting its role as a key element in the coherent reconfiguration of the urban fabric, while preserving the historical imprint of the area.
