House C_Făget 2
Located at the edge of Făget forest, in the urban proximity of Cluj, House C addresses the challenge of harmonious integration into the natural landscape. The “House in the Forest” concept is materialized through a green layer of birch trees, designed to mediate the transition and visually anchor the building in the forest context. The setback of the volume from the alignment generates the necessary intimacy, configuring a distinct residential microclimate. The exterior finishes juxtapose decorative renders with warm wood accents, a materiality that dialogues with the forest’s texture. Ample glazing captures natural light, allowing a fluid interaction between interior and exterior, essential for the “retreat” atmosphere. The interior design, of Nordic-Scandinavian inspiration, emphasizes simplicity and functionality. This careful articulation of volumes and materials creates a dwelling that not only coexists with nature but becomes an extension of it.
