Aiud Residential Building
The S collective housing building is emerging as a pertinent architectural solution within Aiud’s urban context. The challenge of the corner plot is managed through intelligent massing, orchestrating a necessary urban densification by efficiently recycling an outdated built stock. This intervention rearticulates the concept of contemporary collective living, aiming to modernize the urban fabric. The facades, a dialogue between white plaster, extensive glazed surfaces, and wood-textured HPL cladding, generate a modern atmosphere, yet anchored in materiality. The transparency of the glass maximizes natural light intake, essential for warm and inviting interiors; light becomes a structural element, defining space and contributing to a sense of openness. Every detail of the finishes is designed to contribute to a contemporary atmosphere. The project not only meets functional requirements but proposes a responsible urban integration, elevating the aesthetic and functional standards of the area, marking a transition towards living better adapted to the 21st century.
