O House

House O, located on the slopes of Feleacu, addresses the challenge of a modernist dwelling that capitalizes on an extensive panorama towards the city of Cluj. The architectural intervention adapts to the site’s topography, generating a composition of two distinct, interlocking volumes that functionally delineate the day zone from the night zone. This volumetric articulation allows for optimal adaptation to the slope, while simultaneously maximizing visual openness.
The facades are defined by warm-toned renders, complemented by discreet accents of HPL panels, which add a subtle texture and a chromatic relationship with the ambient light. The interior, with a contemporary, neutral, and warm design, creates a setting conducive to intimacy, transforming the dwelling into a privileged observation point. The project functions as a mediation between the rural and urban landscape, maintaining a physical distance from urban congestion, but preserving a constant visual connection with the city’s dynamism.
