OV House

The OV house home represents an architectural intervention that addresses the challenge of integration into a dense natural setting, specific to the forested area of Cluj Napoca. The central concept aims for a deep connection with nature, materialized through fluid transitional spaces between interior and exterior. The exterior volumes, defined by white plaster and stone accents, lend the ensemble a distinct sculptural quality, discreetly negotiating the building’s presence in the landscape. The interior, characterized by ample glazing and warm veneer finishes, becomes a neutral backdrop for the spectacle of light filtered by the forest.
This approach generates a modernist, deeply contemplative atmosphere. The ample layouts and white exterior surfaces capture and modulate natural light, creating subtle plays of shadows and reflections. The chosen materiality underscores the project’s logical argumentation: a dwelling that does not dominate, but rather dialogues with its environment, offering a refined spatial experience and an urban integration conscious of the value of the natural context.
