WD Medical and Office Building

In a heavily trafficked area of Cluj-Napoca, marked by an increase in urban density, the project addresses the defining challenge of a corner plot. The urban intervention aims to activate a vacant plot, proposing a contemporary definition within an often amorphous urban fabric. The “urban lantern” concept guides the volumetric design, creating a new visual point of interest. The rhythm is dictated by the curtain walls, where transparent glass combines with vertical louvers. These elements not only subtly modulate the penetration of natural light, ensuring a bright and organized interior, but also transform the building into a shining landmark at night. The atmosphere generated is modern and profoundly contemporary. Through this careful articulation of its volume and skin, the building becomes a catalytic element. It redefines the street’s aesthetic, offering a distinct presence and a coherent dialogue with urban dynamics.
